A typical scene on an Open Day
Our next Open Weekend, will be held on:
25th & 26th September 2010
Admission: £2-50 per adult, £2-00 concessions, children under 12 & "Friends of the Mill" are free.
Opening hours are 11am until 5:00pm, both days (times to be confirmed).
Examples of attractions at our Open Days:
- Award Winning Exhibition of ancient querns and hand mills from the Neolithic period onwards
- Exhibition of superb, detailed mill models by David Goldsmith (in the stable).
- See our latest plans and designs for the repair and restoration of the mill
- Children’s activities, including quizzes and fossil hunt
- "Pim's Mill" - recreating the final phase of milling at Ullesthorpe (under construction)
- Bare Bones Morris Dancers (to be confirmed)
- New museum objects
Private tours can be arranged at other times for groups of 6 or more at £3 per head. School parties and youth groups are welcome (at reduced rates). For further details please see the School Visits page of this website or contact Dr Susan Tebby on 01455 209608.
